Je sais que c'est dimanche, mais mon travail d'activiste environnemental ne conna\u00eet pas les week-ends. La nature a besoin de nous, plus que jamais. Si nous, les humains, continuons comme nous l'avons fait jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, l'avenir risque d'\u00eatre sombre. Des changements positifs sont possibles - et c'est pourquoi je t'\u00e9cris aujourd'hui. \ud83d\udc0b\ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quand mon infirmier m'a mis un t-shirt de la collection de Paul Watson aujourd'hui et que mes parents m'ont envoy\u00e9 par hasard un re\u00e7u de donation de la fondation Captain Paul Watson comme cadeau d'anniversaire, je n'ai pas pu m'emp\u00eacher de me lancer. Watson est l'un des derniers v\u00e9ritables h\u00e9ros de notre \u00e9poque. Il a consacr\u00e9 toute sa vie \u00e0 sauver les oc\u00e9ans et surtout les baleines. Et pour cela, il a maintenant besoin de notre soutien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul Watson est en prison depuis des mois. Les autorit\u00e9s japonaises l'accusent d'avoir attaqu\u00e9 un bateau de p\u00eache \u00e0 la baleine il y a plus de dix ans. Mais contrairement \u00e0 la croyance populaire, Watson n'a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 condamn\u00e9 par un tribunal international. En fait, son arrestation est bas\u00e9e sur un mandat d'arr\u00eat national du Japon, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 diffus\u00e9 par Interpol sous la forme d'un soi-disant \"Red Notice\". Cependant, un \"Red Notice\" n'est pas un mandat d'arr\u00eat international juridiquement valable - c'est un avis de recherche qui n'oblige pas les autres pays \u00e0 proc\u00e9der \u00e0 une arrestation ou \u00e0 une extradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C'est maintenant au Danemark de d\u00e9cider si Watson sera extrad\u00e9 vers le Japon, o\u00f9 il risque un proc\u00e8s in\u00e9quitable. Le temps presse, car pendant que Watson est en prison, les baleiniers japonais continuent leurs chasses controvers\u00e9es d'esp\u00e8ces en voie d'extinction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L'engagement de Paul Watson pour la nature a permis de sauver d'innombrables animaux de la mort et de prot\u00e9ger la vie dans les oc\u00e9ans. C'est maintenant \u00e0 nous de lui donner quelque chose en retour.
