Reading time 2 Minutes

It's time again for a new profile picture. Which I actually think is quite successful, so I like it.

I have been writing a very interesting article about the climatic effects, impact, morals and ethics as well as the legal classification of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in art and journalism for some time - without AI.

Not everything is as trivial as it seems. If you talk to those affected, for example artists who feel that their rights have been violated because the AI has been trained with their "real" works, you are quickly confronted with hardened fronts. All too quickly it becomes "personal".

I think that's a shame, but understandable. After all, AI makes the liberal professions practically obsolete. And these professions in particular are especially protected in our area for good reason. But "our place" is not where the AI is based and let's be honest; which AI provider is interested in European training data? Or rather, the European legal framework for the use of such data. We Europeans don't even know what we want ourselves. There is no consensus even among lawyers and courts. The legal framework for the use of artificial intelligence to create artistic images is complex and encompasses a wide range of laws, regulations and directives at national and European level.

Fancy a view? Gladly. EU Regulation on Artificial Intelligence (AI Act), EU AI Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), Article 50 AI Regulation labelling obligation for AI-generated content, German Copyright Act (UrhG), right to one's own image under the Art Copyright Act (KUG), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Digital Services Act (DSA), competition law (UWG), trademark and labelling law, Interstate Media Treaty (MStV), product liability law, administrative law, patent law. This list is not AI-generated. This list is... typically German.

And only half the truth. Will ethics and environmental protection fall by the wayside in future?

Now I'm interested in your opinion on the subject. Let me know in the comments: 🌐 https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=10161006423595808&set=a.428337935807
