There are times when the body simply won't play ball. Pain, exhaustion, the fight against illness - all of this can paralyse you. But then there are these small, almost invisible miracles: a smile, a little inner peace, a spark of hope. And suddenly the healing process seems to take a leap forward. But why is that? What happens when the psyche gets involved and persuades the body to join in?

Maybe you know this yourself: You try to do something good for your body, take care of it, and yet it feels like it's turning against you. Or you drop all caution, just do what's good for you and suddenly you feel better. Is that a coincidence? Or is there more to it than that? The connection between body and mind is a fascinating mystery to me - and at the same time a powerful tool on the path to healing.

An attentive look, a helping hand, a motivating word - you often only realise how much this depends on others when it is missing. Carers play a crucial role here. If you are cared for by someone who listens, thinks and makes an effort, you will also feel it physically. And if the opposite is the case? Then not only your body but also your mind is carrying an additional burden.

The connection between mind and body is not a one-way street. It is an interplay, a dance. Perhaps it is precisely this balance that gives you strength in difficult times: Listening to your own needs, consciously recognising the good moments and not despairing when a bad day intervenes. Your mind is strong - and if you give it space, it can support your body.

We all carry this inner strength within us. Sometimes it is loud and stormy, sometimes quiet and barely audible. But it is there. And it can make a big difference. Healing is more than medication and therapies. It is the hope, the strength, the support - and sometimes the courage to say: "I want to sleep."
This article is for you, for you. For everyone who is currently struggling, who feels lost or simply needs a ray of hope. You are not alone - and your psyche is stronger than you might think. In both positive and negative ways.
