One of my favourite topics. Yes, I smoke pot. And I do it on prescription with free delivery through my pharmacy. What sounds like every stoner's dream has a sound medical background.
Before this form of therapy, I was plagued by incessant fasciculations (muscle twitches) all over my body, especially in my extremities, stomach and shoulders. At night, I had at least one, sometimes several, violent cramps, mostly in my legs and in my throat and lower jaw. Whether constant restlessness and insomnia were a consequence of this or, as orthodox medicine assumes, symptoms in their own right, remains to be seen.
The fact is that even the mixture of Katadolon (muscle relaxant), Apydan (anti-epileptic), Zopiclon (not necessarily a weak sleeping pill, similar to benzos) and all kinds of different painkillers, accompanied by nasty side effects, could only provide partial relief for a very short time. We are talking about two to four hours at the most - at full doses of the synthetic poison cocktail.
In contrast, 200-500 mg of cannabis in the evening is enough for me to prevent all the above-mentioned complaints from arising in the first place. That corresponds to just one joint spread over the whole day. It's sad that you have to figure this out for yourself after reading about it on PubMed in an American study.
The only disadvantage of orthodox medicine: Compared to my previous medication, the classical pharmaceutical industry no longer earns anything from me.
In this sense, happy smoking. ?

2 years agoWhat a brilliant site here!
We, ALS-mobil e.V., have a direct demand on this point here.
As a rule, THC is prescribed and used - helpfully - in the form of Dronabinol oil or Sativex spray.
Directly as it "should be", to smoke pot ergo inhale but rather rarely, at the latest with NIV ventilation..... Rarely, but still practised.
Consequently, we lack at least empirical values such as variety? Evaporation temperature? Effect temperature-dependent? ... and so on.
Can you & do you like to help there? Directly or as a blog post (which the nurse can type 😉 )
Apart from that, a quick question: 20 types of alcohol? 🙂
Greetings from Berlin from us & extra greetings from the admin - PFK himself.

2 years agoHello Jens,
Well, that's something. A lot of people visit my blog. How cool, I'm glad.
Indeed. I had read a lot about dronabinol and the like before, but I had no personal experience. The dosage seems to me to be not quite trivial. Tolerance is also not necessarily good. Which is more than can be said for classic "smoking weed". The only side effect is that I eat more, to everyone's delight.
As far as the varieties are concerned and how to issue a corresponding ordinance, I would actually put that in a separate article. I think there could be quite a bit of information there. As for the smoking technique as such, I was also forced to change the methodology. I can't manage to smoke anymore even with the (actively ventilating) Volcano. So we once again used PEG transfer systems that a friend gave me from leftover stocks and pump sets from ebay... built a "Cannabis NIV Injection". What a cool title. For the article.
Temperature really depends on the effect I want to achieve. And on the body's own resistance, presumably. I think it's supposed to start having an effect at 160 degrees, a maximum of 180 degrees is recommended, if I remember correctly. I smoke at 200 degrees because the taste is much more prominent and I have the impression that I have to smoke less for the same effect.
Everything else will follow shortly. I'll have to dig out my documents from back then and ask the doctor for the prescription. It went directly to the insurance company and I don't have it at the moment. But it would certainly be helpful for one or the other.
Until then at the latest,
many greetings
Patrick
