(aka "His 1st Words")

As is all too often the case, the weekend is already upon us and once again I haven't managed to write a single post. Let alone click on "publish". I've been farther away from that than I've ever been. And I can tell you, it's not for lack of conversation. Take a look at my weekly schedule, maybe you'll get an idea of what's going on here. Just the normal madness.

Business as usual. But unfortunately without business. Everything I do at the moment costs. Energy, time and money. You read correctly. My GP and his colleagues have been seeing me three times a day at times. I caught pneumonia. That was the first time in my adult life that I had a fever.

Strange feeling, I don't necessarily need it again. I didn't find the direct physical effects so tragic. I had the worst headaches, but they turned out to be the result of the mask being tied too tightly by eight kilos of pressure (description of the problem). here). I also had to deal with flatulence, as is so often avoidable. But that is not a consequence of the fever either. That's what happens when you end up being sloppy when drawing up the syringe for the PEG and so I get pressure pumped with up to half a litre of air into my stomach. In the calculation, I assume 5 to at most just under 10 ml of air per syringe. Like this. I can no longer burp. I can't say whether it would be possible against the pressure of the ventilation. Because without intact nerves of the voluntary motor musculature, very little works in terms of burping, sneezing, coughing and yawning.

But this overall feeling of being down, of not being able to do anything, that's what depresses me more. I felt like muddy potatoes that could at best have made it as potato risotto. Yet it was only 39.8 degrees. I could imagine that a Corona in the worst case with a fever of 41+ could do me quite a lot of harm. To make matters worse, when you're told at your GP's visit that I'm absolutely sure I wouldn't have had a fever two days earlier if... Well, well. It's best to read for yourself. From tomorrow evening here.

And then I ask myself how I manage to keep everyone up to date via Whatsapp, but not even give a sign of life on my blog for seven full days. The answer is simple. It's the quality that suffers... But maybe one or two screenshots don't even need detailed prose. Who knows? And I'm no expert. What do I know? Let's try it out. First thing in the morning, I'll give you my second words. Namely here.

Until then, keep up the good work.
