The capsule is inserted into the metallic heating ring of the capsule holder. Make sure you insert the capsule the right way round. It has a top and a bottom and only fits neatly into the carrier in one direction.
Place the black hose connector on the orange capsule carrier and screw the two together gently. Do not use force, the parts break easily.
If the two cannot be connected gently, the capsule is probably inserted the wrong way round.
