EU eco-detention

The events as far as I know them in my own words.

Paul Watson and other environmental activists found Greenpeace, probably the best-known nature conservation organisation of all time. But they cave in to governments and business.

Paul Watson founds Sea Sheperd. As they become the world's best known and most successful anti-whaling organisation, too many people within Sea Sheperd become power-hungry and sack Captain Paul Watson, the supreme commander of the fleet. Paul complains. Due to territorial jurisdiction, the trial is held in France. Paul wins. And is left with nothing.

Living in exile, he founded the Captain Paul Watson Foundation, a new environmental protection organisation. In the meantime, he is once again taking action against whalers with a 72 metre vessel and 25 volunteers. This disturbs the Japanese, who are currently sending their monster whaling and processing factory "Kangei Maru", disguised as a research vessel, to the North Pacific. Japan has already issued a politically motivated international arrest warrant for Paul. This was declared invalid by the International Court of Justice a long time ago. But the EU has suddenly lost this judgement and forgotten about it. Paul is to be extradited to Japan.

Rubbish? Then write to the government and tell them that.

I don't think much of petitions. At least in the EU, petitions on environmental issues have been proven to end up unread in the shredder. But if you like, you can sign up here: https://www.paulwatsonfoundation.org/freepaulwatson/
